Smart parking, traffic data and a citizen app

Problem

The town had installed parking sensors and traffic cameras, but their data was not reaching the people who could act on it: staff had no single view and residents could not see free spaces.

Approach

We connected hundreds of real-time parking sensors and dozens of traffic cameras to the town’s existing smart-city platform. On top of it we built dashboards for municipal staff, a public real-time map, alert rules for parking saturation and sensor faults, and analytics on parking stays and origin–destination flows. The iOS and Android citizen app covers parking and incident reports with photo, location and push notifications, plus modules such as pharmacies on duty, beaches and green areas. Incidents are handled in a back office. Everything runs on premise and meets the Spanish national security framework (ENS) and WCAG 2.1 AA.

Outcome

Staff see parking and traffic in real time and are alerted when something needs attention. Residents find parking and report incidents from their phone, and those reports land in a back office.
